Never stop learning how to live!

📮 Perennial Meditations

Perennial Meditations are short guided contemplations inspired by the writings of Stoics, saints, and sages. These meditations are designed to help you (and me) reflect on what it means to live an intentional life. *** This series is exclusive to members.

Kierkegaard on Hiding from Life

“The most common form of despair is not being who you are.”
— Søren Kierkegaard, The Sickness Unto Death

Kierkegaard, the Danish philosopher and Christian existentialist, believed that despair isn’t always obvious. Sometimes it appears as subtle avoidance—living in quiet disconnection. Not living falsely, but living too cautiously. Not outward failure, but inward neglect.

Many people appear successful on the outside.

They are admired, even envied.

But inside, there is a gnawing feeling that something vital has been delayed, suppressed, or denied. Ignoring the call of one’s deeper nature is to gradually unravel the soul.
