About Dying Every Day
Dying Every Day is a newsletter and podcast about mortality, wisdom, discipline, attention, character, and the art of living.
The heart of the project is simple: to never stop learning how to live.
The title comes from an old Stoic idea: that we should rehearse death not because life is meaningless, but because life matters. To remember that we are mortal is to remember that our time, attention, relationships, work, and character are not small things.
This is a place for meditations for mortals—reflections for people trying to live with more wisdom, courage, gratitude, and peace in the time they have been given. If you find value in this project and would like to become a member, here are three options: (1) Become a member; (2) If you need assistance, use this 50% discount link; and (3) If you can’t afford it, accept a complimentary membership.
Here, you’ll find short reflections, longer essays, podcast episodes, adapted wisdom texts, and practical tools drawn from Stoicism, philosophy, faith, psychology, and the great books.
The goal is not to add more noise to your life.
The goal is to help you pay attention to what matters.
